Cults have recently been hyped by the likes of Pitchfork and You Ain’t No Picasso, and with good reason – they are legitimately awesome.

I’m usually not a huge fan of lo-fi fuzziness, but Cults have managed to combine a mellow lo-fi baseline with clear, simple, melodic vocals and light, sprightly instruments (piano and glockenspiel) to absolutely magical effect.  If that combination doesn’t sound interesting enough, they’ve even included some “Dark Side of the Moon”-esque spoken word interludes throughout.  It’s all rather dreamy and surreal and makes these songs must-haves for summer listening.
